Some of the highlightsinclude:
- The busride as ghosts wearing mustaches holding signs displaying portraits of people who attended the last years event.
- Our busdriver (Fred) was the same bus driver we had last year. He remembered us.
- At the bus stop on the way there we met this guy in a wheel chair who we all posed for a picture with.
- One of the participants (Bonnie) chose to hold the sign with Eliza Fernands's portrait. When I told her who whom she weilded Bonnie told me that she had been in email correspondence with Eliza about a possible show at the Sugar Gallery but had never met her before. We were trying to remember the name of the guy who used to own gallery five hundred (which became Sugar Gallery and moved to the Everett Lofts after the coke dealer, Eric Kellog II, bought it and ran it into the ground by hosting insane hip hop drug parties that got him evicted from the 500 space by police. The truth is he doesnt care about art, all he cares about is stroking his own ego. He power trips over hiring young attractive art girls as curators for his "gallery" who he then sexually harasses. My friend, Alicia Eggers, responded to an add for the curator position at Sugar a few months ago. Mr. Kellog took her out to dinner and explained to her that her duties at Sugar would include having sex with him. Eliza has confirmed these allegations as consistant with her experience with Mr. Kellog.
When Katy asher showed up she started talking about the M.O.S.T's Fan For A Day Project. One of their clients is Justin Oswald (Owner of Gallery 500) the one we were trying to think of previously.

The sun was beautiful as it set. It made even a truck stop seem magical.
<img width='1' height='1' They then began exporting the English version of drinking tea back into the cultures from which they had taken it.
When the early English colonialists travled to the new world, they too brought tea culture with them. It is assumed that high tea taxes and greed led to the American Revolution begining with the infamous Boston Tea Party. I would suggest, however, that the American revolution was equally motivated by an intense desire for social liberation.

When the colonists came to the new world they maintained a strong pressence of Engish power and control over their lives by bringing tea. Despite the obvious potential for control in the addictive quality of caffine there were also opportunities for the English to exert control via the social dependance on (or addiction to) tea (as a social facilitator) in colonial America (similar to the current American economic dependance on oil producing nations today).

If a government controls the socialization of its people, that government has absolute control over said people due to the simple fact that socialization is a basic human need intrinsic to our survival. When babies are denied touch they die. Adolecents would rather die than be rejected by thier peer group. Men and women take desperate measures to maintain social networks of love, acceptance and stability.

As tea was consumed in every level of English society and colonial outpost in the context of leisure and socialization, it could easily be used by the English as a social control mechanism by withholding it or inflating the price (and limiting availability) through Taxes.

The homesick colonialists could engage in the social ritual of tea to remember all the good things about England and the home they had left behind. However every time a colonist sat down for a cup of tea she was looking back, like Lot's wife, betraying their primary vision of freedom and pledging their fealty to England's throne.

Just like the final purging of the old, ephemeral relics of a defunct love affair can provide realease from the past, so too was the Boston tea party a decleration of independence from a dysfunctional relationship to all things English, including tea. As the Boston Tea Party Participants tossed boxes of tea into the harbor, they were not only rejecting the financial burden tea represented, they were rejecting of a way of life and socialization that had become a barrier to their growth and development as a nation. The "gun" mounting ceremony. These are some of the people who came to whitness this momentous event. They pose with the 800px replica that my friend Chris and I made out of cardboard, Superglue and masking tape. We hung it on this public gun rack that we found on NW Everett Street between 3rd and 4th in Oldtown (that is Chris, with blonde hair, on the right hugging our friend Tuey).
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_NC4aPflCf7I/RkzXp-Kf0II/AAAAAAAAAA8/jJrpP7_fUbo/s320/800px-Modern_Hunting_Rifle.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5065660796946600066" />Here is the 800px replica by itself. It really is a fine work of cardboard craftsmanship.
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_NC4aPflCf7I/RkzateKf0KI/AAAAAAAAABM/Vir4JBczPso/s320/m.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5065664155611025570" />This fire hydrant reminded me of my friend M. He decided to stop being my friend because I couldn't give him what he wanted. I can respect that, sometimes relationships just dont work out. The other thing this hydrant reminds me of is a penis which is how I felt M acted when he ended our relationship.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_NC4aPflCf7I/Rktqq-Kf0GI/AAAAAAAAAAs/gKfsy-TBhjQ/s320/o%26w02.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5065259492382330978" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_NC4aPflCf7I/RktqHeKf0FI/AAAAAAAAAAk/gwDZnMBnm78/s320/o%26w01.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5065258882496974930" />
Today is the Third Tea Project Rememory Ceremony, ("Orange and White with Forest Green Accents") after this event we will be traveling across the river to the first Mounting Ceremony.
